open call for projects
Are you an Austin-area artist, creative collective, or organization working in media arts?
We’re excited to announce a $2,000 grant opportunity to support innovative, collaborative projects that celebrate media arts in all its forms—from film, audio, and video to immersive and interactive digital experiences. This grant is designed to uplift Austin’s vibrant media arts community by funding group exhibitions, performances, or screen-based artworks featuring three or more artists.
No confirmed venue or event is required upfront, making this a flexible opportunity to help bring your ideas to life. Applications are open from July 18 to August 18, and recipients will be notified in late August. Funded projects must complete work and data collection by December 31, 2025.
If your organization has a two-year or longer history, operates with a budget under $1 million, and is located in the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area (Travis, Williamson, Hays, Caldwell, or Bastrop counties), we encourage you to apply and help strengthen Austin’s position as a UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts.
This support grant is a pilot program.
